Canthopexy
The definition of youthful looking or almond shaped eyes is having a slightly higher lateral corner than your medial corner. The canthopexy or canthoplasty surgery is performed together with the lower blepharoplasty surgery to fix the lateral canthus, providing support and stability to the lower eyelid, leading to a more satisfactory result of the surgery. Not all patients need canthopexy. This will also be assessed in the pre-operative consultation.
